The Tyler Sassman Cancer Foundation was established to continue the legacy of Tyler Sassman who impacted the lives of so many of his peers daily with his tender spirit, big heart and smile that melted his mother’s heart in an instance.
Diagnosed with a Grade 4 glioblastoma brain cancer, he lost his ﬁght to the disease 7 months after his diagnosis on 31 January 2017 and at the tender age of 16.
The foundation aims to ﬁll a void in the support and literacy available to children with cancer and their caregivers.
The foundation has been registered as a not-for-profit organisation for public benefit with the Department of Social Development.
