We successfully launched the foundation at our annual soccer tournament, with Wits Junior Football Club, Tyler’s soccer club.
At this event we not only launched the foundation but raised R15 000.
In the first two weeks following the launch, the TSC foundation has generated over R100 000 of equivalent advertising spend as a result of appearing on multiple regional media platforms.
The Tyler Sassman Cancer Foundation was established to continue the legacy of Tyler Sassman who impacted the lives of so many of his peers daily with his tender spirit, big heart and smile that melted his mother’s heart in an instance.
Diagnosed with a Grade 4 glioblastoma brain cancer, he lost his ﬁght to the disease 7 months after his diagnosis on 31 January 2017 and at the tender age of 16.
The foundation aims to ﬁll a void in the support and literacy available to children with cancer and their caregivers.
